Garden Centre Catering Awards – last chance to enter!
You’ll have to be quick if you want to be among our 2026 winners!
Our prestigious Garden Centre Catering Awards celebrate the fantastic food, ethics and ethos of garden centres across the country. However, if you want to be among this year’s winners, you’ll have to be very quick – the entry deadline is 25th September!
There are, once again, four categories to enter: Afternoon Tea of the Year, Group Garden Centre Caterer of the Year, Independent Garden Centre Caterer of the Year and the Sustainability Award. As ever, it is absolutely free to submit and multiple categories can be entered.
The quartet of worthy winners will receive a trophy and massive boost to their businesses, attracting more customers and recognising staff members’ efforts in the process. On top of this, we will also visit them throughout next year and profile them individually in the pages of this magazine. Our interview with the reigning Independent Garden Centre Caterer of the Year champion, Monkton Elm Garden Centre, is on page 14.
Another winner from 2025 was Waterperry Gardens, which won Afternoon Tea of the Year. Teashop manager Nicky Wortley told us: “Business has increased since we won the award, which was a bit scary initially, because you think people are going to start saying, ‘Oh, that's not worth it’. But they haven't said that at all; we get a lot of positive comments, saying it's the best afternoon tea they’ve ever had.”
British Garden Centres, meanwhile, claimed Garden Centre Catering Group of the Year. Group restaurant director Ricky Towers told us: “Winning this award is a moment where we can look at every single person across all of our 78 sites and say, what you do matters and people have noticed. That means everything.”
