The UltiMeat range has officially secured the Craft Guild of Chefs’ seal of approval, with all three of the QuornPro products being entered into the industry body’s Product Endorsement Programme. The UltiMeat 114g Burger, Meatballs and Mince, which were developed with William White Meats, impressed chefs with their appearance, moisture retention, minimal shrinkage and versatility.

Designed specifically for foodservice, and available from Brakes, UltiMeat combines responsibly sourced beef with Quorn mycoprotein to give operators a blended protein option that delivers the familiar taste, texture and appearance diners expect from meat, alongside additional operational and nutritional benefits.

'A fantastic endorsement'
Mark Wetherill, culinary director for QuornPro, said: “We created UltiMeat with William White Meats to give chefs and operators another way to approach protein – one that can work in familiar, much-loved dishes without asking diners to compromise on the eating experience. That’s why having the range independently tested by working chefs is so valuable. They understand what a product needs to deliver in a busy foodservice kitchen, from how it performs during cooking to how it looks and tastes on the plate.

“To have all three products tested achieve Craft Guild of Chefs approval is a fantastic endorsement of what the range can offer operators.”
