Love British Food and Morrisons have launched a competition to find and celebrate an inspirational individual, community group or organisation creating meaningful change through British food. The Champion of Change title will recognise practical action that builds a deeper connection with British produce through growing, sourcing, cooking, serving, educating or widening access.

The competition is being run as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for British Food Fortnight, which takes place from 26th September to 11th October. Entries are welcomed from across the supply chain, including foodservice, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, agriculture and horticulture, as well as education, healthcare and community initiatives.

'Making a profound difference'
Alexia Robinson, founder of Love British Food, said: “In our 25th anniversary year, we want to find and celebrate people who are making a profound difference at a grassroots level. That could be a community leader finding new ways to make fresh British produce more accessible, a farmer or grower building stronger links with their local community, a school or hospital putting more British food on its menus or a caterer helping people understand where their food comes from.”
